Yongin Special City Opens Application Period for Q3 'Youth Basic Income' Starting September

Yongin Special City announced on the 31st that it will accept applications for Q3 youth basic income for 24-year-old young adults.

This quarter covers those born from July 2, 2001, to July 1, 2002. Applicants must have resided in Gyeonggi Province for at least three consecutive years or a total of 10 years or more.

Applications can be submitted through 'Gyeonggi Province Job Portal Jobaba' (https://apply.jobaba.net).

The youth basic income project provides 250,000 won per quarter, or 1 million won annually, in local currency to 24-year-old young adults registered as residents of Yongin as of the application date.

As a policy to ensure future preparation and opportunities for young people, the funds are provided regardless of income, employment status, or school enrollment.

Resident registration transcripts are automatically submitted through public My Data services. Certain recipients, such as basic livelihood security beneficiaries, must submit supporting documents separately.

Beneficiaries can receive 250,000 won in local currency 'Yongin Y-Pay' starting October 20. The subsidy can be freely used at local currency-affiliated merchants within the city. The local currency provided has a validity period of three years.

For academy tuition and examination fees, payment with local currency is available throughout Gyeonggi Province or online. However, online payments are only available through merchants with linked local currency payment methods.
