Yongin Special City Opens Applications for Third Quarter Youth Basic Income Starting in September

Yongin Special City announced on the 31st that it is accepting applications for third quarter youth basic income targeting 24-year-old young people.

This quarter is applicable to those born between July 2, 2001 and July 1, 2002. Applicants must have continuously resided in Gyeonggi Province for 3 years or more, or accumulated residence of 10 years or more.

Applications can be submitted through 'Gyeonggi Province Job Portal JobABA' (https://apply.jobaba.net).

The youth basic income project provides 250,000 won per quarter, totaling 1 million won annually in local currency to 24-year-old young people with registered residence in Yongin as of the application date.

As a policy to prepare for the futures and ensure opportunities for young people, it is provided regardless of income status, employment, or enrollment status.

Resident registration abstracts are automatically submitted through the public my-data service. Some eligible individuals, such as basic livelihood security recipients, must separately submit proof documents.

Eligible recipients can receive 250,000 won in local currency 'Yongin Y-Pay' starting October 20. The support funds can be freely used at local currency affiliated merchants within the region. The validity period of the distributed local currency is 3 years.

Local currency payment is available for academy tuition and examination fees at locations throughout Gyeonggi Province or online. However, online payments are only available at merchants with integrated local currency payment systems.
