Yongin Special City (Mayor Lee Sang-il), along with Cheoin-gu, Giheung-gu, and Suji-gu districts, announced on the 20th that they have refreshed the urban landscape by planting autumn flowers in major areas with high foot traffic to create a pleasant and beautiful cityscape.

Cheoin-gu invested 87 million won in the project to refurbish major traffic islands including areas in front of Unification Park and near the Dongbu-dong Administrative Welfare Center from September 2nd to 10th, as well as hanging planters on bridges such as Yongin Bridge and Gillyang-dae Bridge, and street flower boxes around Cheoin-gu Office and Unification Park to match the autumn atmosphere.

Autumn flowers that allow visitors to feel the season were planted in traffic islands and street flower boxes, while Wave Petunias were planted on major bridges so that citizens could enjoy the essence of autumn in various parts of the city.

In particular, a 'four-season garden' was created at the traffic island in front of Unification Park to reduce the burden of repeatedly replacing flowers with each season and maintain green landscape throughout the year.

Giheung-gu invested 50 million won to plant flowers such as white chrysanthemums, garden mums, and asters at the Gugal Bridge intersection traffic island and near Singal Station, allowing citizens to feel the seasonal changes in their daily lives while creating a subtle color palette and abundant autumn scenery.

Giheung-gu also installed hanging planters at four major bridges, including Gugal 2 Bridge in front of Giheung Station, at the beginning of this month to further beautify the urban landscape.

Suji-gu invested 90 million won to plant Torenia and garden mums in circular flower boxes along the Suji-ro riverside stretching from Pungduk-cheon-dong Saemaul Neighborhood Park to Suji Church, and in rectangular flower boxes in the Pungduk-cheon-ro commercial district to showcase attractions for citizens.

Suji-gu plans to plant seasonal flowers in major streets and commercial districts according to the seasonal flower planting plan to refresh the urban landscape.

Mayor Lee Sang-il said, "We have planted flowers throughout the region so that citizens can feel the beauty of the season in the city and enjoy the essence of autumn in their daily lives," and added, "We will continue to make efforts in management and supervision so that citizens can experience a pleasant and beautiful urban environment."
