Osan City announced on the 29th that inspection results of livestock products distributed within the city showed no cases of non-conformity regarding safety standards.
The city commissioned the Gyeonggi Province Livestock Hygiene Research Institute to conduct tests on beef, pork, chicken, eggs, processed meat products, and ham sold at large retail outlets, examining bacterial counts, antibiotic residues, Korean beef DNA, and spoilage levels.
As a result, investigations found no cases where bacterial counts and coliforms exceeded the recommended standards for business establishments. No food poisoning pathogens were detected, confirming that livestock products present no safety issues.
A city official stated, "Activation of social monitoring functions is required for safe distribution of livestock products," and added, "We will conduct continuous inspections and provide administrative guidance to resolve consumer concerns and prevent complaints from arising."
