Suwon Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for 'Global Youth Dream Center'

Suwon City held a groundbreaking ceremony on the 25th for the construction of the 'Global Youth Dream Center'.
The ceremony was attended by Suwon Mayor Yeom Tae-young, Samsung Electro-Mechanics Corporation Personnel Manager Ryu Seung-mo, Catholic Diocese of Suwon Maintenance Foundation Chairman Lee Yong-hun, and ambassadors from Nepal, the Philippines, and an attaché from the Vietnamese Embassy, as well as local residents and leaders of multicultural-related organizations.
The Global Youth Dream Center will be built on a 480㎡ site at 141 Paldalro, Paldal-gu (formerly 70-10 Hwaseo-dong), with a total floor area of 1,428.82㎡ consisting of one basement level and five above-ground floors, and is scheduled to open in the first half of next year.
The center will house facilities including a vocational skills development room, case management room, and alternative school classrooms for multicultural youth.
A city official stated, "We will do our best to make it a comprehensive hub center for fostering future-oriented global talent."
