Gwangmyeong City (Mayor Park Seung-won) is expanding investment attraction and exchange cooperation opportunities for promising startups. On the 29th, it will hold the '2026 Glocal Demo Day' at the Grand Ballroom of L7 Gwangmyeong by Lotte Hotel.

The demo day will feature startups that achieved outstanding results in the first half of the year, and will include ▲startup company presentations (IR) ▲awards ceremony for outstanding companies ▲on-site events ▲one-on-one investment consultation sessions.

Five outstanding companies will be selected through evaluation by startup experts, and awards will be given for best company, excellent company, and popular company categories. Companies with exceptional investment attraction performance will receive the 'Future Value Creation Award,' while companies with excellent cooperation results such as business agreements (MOUs) will receive the 'Strategic Partnership Award.'

The event will be open to the general public except for the one-on-one investment consultation sessions. Any citizens interested in startups and investment can attend for free.

A pre-registration event will also be held. Citizens can pre-register using the QR code in the guide, and after completing on-site registration, they can participate in the event. A commemorative event for on-site visitors will also be provided.

Mayor Park Seung-won of Gwangmyeong City stated, "We will actively discover companies with potential and establish a stable growth foundation to create a city where companies and communities develop together."

The city conducted the '2026 Glocal Startup Challenge' in the first half of the year, recruiting 100 promising domestic and international startups. After online diagnosis and the demo day, it selected 20 final companies. The selected companies were provided support including investor matching and IR training.
