Suwon Enters 20th Year of Lifelong Learning Festival... Mayor Lee "Will Create City Where Citizens Can Learn Freely"

Suwon Special City held the 20th Suwon City Lifelong Learning Festival on the 31st at the Suwon Lifelong Learning Center under the theme "Learning at Twenty, Meeting the Future Together."
Lifelong learning institutions and organizations, learning clubs, and community groups operated 35 experience booths in the Lifelong Learning Center parking lot, drawing continuous citizen participation. On the outdoor stage, learning clubs and performance teams from lifelong learning institutions performed busking to enthusiastic applause.
The lifelong learning festival that day was an event to reflect on the footsteps of lifelong learning built together with citizens over the past 20 years and to reaffirm the value and meaning of lifelong learning.
Mayor Lee Jae-jun of Suwon Special City, who visited the site that day, toured the experience booths and said, "I will create a city where citizens can learn whatever they wish to learn," adding "I hope today's festival becomes a starting point for opening the way to learning in the future."
As special events marking the 20th anniversary, special exhibitions titled "Learning in Suwon," a commemorative message wall "Learning at Twenty Canvas," and a stamp event "Finding Learning at Twenty" were held, and the 20th-anniversary special exhibition highlighted the 20-year journey of the Suwon City Lifelong Learning Festival.
The Suwon City Lifelong Learning Festival, which began in 2006, has expanded citizen participation programs including experience, exhibition, and performance as a citizen-participatory lifelong learning festival over successive years.
