Mansei-gu Agricultural Products Light Up Dongtan…Direct Trade Market Set for Oct. 31 at Dongtan Yeoul Park

An urban-rural trade event titled 'Autumn Galore, Mansei Market' will be held to introduce premium agricultural and specialty products from Mansei-gu in Hwaseong Special City to consumers in the urban Dongtan-gu area.

The event leverages the regional characteristics of Mansei-gu and Dongtan-gu to expand distribution channels for farmers and provide citizens with fresh, high-quality local food. It will take place on October 31 at Dongtan Yeoul Park.

At the market, local farmers and producer groups from Mansei-gu will showcase items including shiitake mushrooms, purple potatoes, grapes, pears, apples, dried seafood, fermented seafood products, and kimchi. Farmers plan to directly explain to Dongtan citizens about the cultivation process and quality of their agricultural products.

In addition to direct trade, the event will offer various attractions including agricultural product tastings, experience programs for making kimchi and rice cakes, traditional folk music performances, and promotional booths for traditional markets.

Hong Ro-mi, chief of Mansei-gu Office, said, "This is a meaningful occasion to introduce Mansei-gu's excellent agricultural and specialty products to Dongtan-gu citizens and foster exchange between residents of the two regions. It will provide new distribution channels for local farmers and give citizens an opportunity to encounter fresh and trustworthy food nearby."
