Over 10,000 Citizens Gather for Hwaseong's Manseegu Concert Bridging Generations

The Manseegu district of Hwaseong Special City saw approximately 10,000 citizens participate in the '2026 Manseegu Regional Concert - Between Emotion and Beat' held on the 9th at Namyang Sports Park, enjoying a vibrant evening.

The performance began at 6 p.m. with a pre-concert tap dance performance by Blue Note, a local arts organization. With upbeat rhythms and dynamic performances, the show opened with enthusiastic cheers from the audience.

Singer Kyeong-seo took the stage first in the main performance, elevating the atmosphere of the venue with her distinctive clear and emotional vocal tone, followed by rapper Nuk-sal, who delivered an energy-filled hip-hop performance that provided audiences with fresh entertainment.

Singer Baek Ji-young closed the final stage. With her characteristically powerful and expressive voice and explosive vocal prowess, Baek Ji-young capped off the performance, as audiences sang along to familiar songs and offered applause and cheers that heightened the concert's fervor.

In particular, the concert brought together diverse genres including ballad, hip-hop, and tap dance, creating a festival of harmony enjoyed by a wide range of generations from children to youth to middle-aged and older adults. Citizens who visited the concert venue with family, friends, and neighbors created special autumn evening memories while communicating through music as a medium.

Manseegu District Chief Hong No-mi stated, "It is meaningful to provide a cultural platform together with citizens," and added, "We will create opportunities for residents to enjoy performances and interact with neighbors in nearby locations by reflecting resident opinions and local characteristics."

Hwaseong Special City Mayor Jung Myeong-geun said, "Good culture should be easily accessible to all citizens in close proximity to their lives," and expressed hope that "this concert will serve as a warm occasion to share cultural experiences with neighbors and broaden common ground between generations."

Meanwhile, Hwaseong Special City plans to continue the regional concert series in Hyohaenggu on November 7th. Going forward, the city plans to expand opportunities for local artists and residents to participate and continuously broaden citizens' access to cultural enjoyment by discovering cultural content that showcases the characteristics of each region.
