Gapyeong County operates 'Mobile Citizen Suggestion Box' with National Ombudsman

[Suwon Ilbo = Reporter Eom In-yong] Gapyeong County will operate the 'Mobile Citizen Suggestion Box' with the National Ombudsman at Gapyeong County Government on the 27th.

The 'Mobile Citizen Suggestion Box' is a field-oriented civil complaint consultation service where a consulting team composed of officials from the National Ombudsman and cooperating agencies directly visits the region to listen to residents' grievances and seek solutions.

This 'Mobile Citizen Suggestion Box' will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 27th at the Conference Room on the 3rd floor of Gapyeong County Government, and not only Gapyeong County residents but also residents from nearby Namyangju City and Pocheon City can visit for consultation.

At the on-site consultation, National Ombudsman investigators will conduct consultations covering all administrative areas including administration, culture, education, finance and taxation, welfare and labor, industry, agriculture, forestry and environment, and housing and construction. Cooperating organizations such as the Korean Legal Aid Corporation, Korea Consumer Agency, Korea Land Information Corporation, and the Small Business Finance Promotion Agency will participate to provide consultation on various daily civil complaints including legal matters, consumer damage, land surveys, and small business finance.

The county accepted advance reservations through the county government and township offices to facilitate smooth consultations, and residents who could not apply in advance can also receive consultations through on-site registration on the day (27th) by bringing their ID.

County Governor Seo Tae-won said, "I hope the 'Mobile Citizen Suggestion Box,' where government agencies directly address residents' grievances, becomes an opportunity to provide trusted administrative services," and added, "I hope many residents can resolve their daily difficulties through consultation."
