Hyun Geun-taek, Suwon Deputy Mayor, Inspects Construction Sites in Preparation for Heat Waves and Typhoons

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jeong Jun-sung] Hyun Geun-taek, Deputy Mayor of Suwon Special City, visited construction sites within the city on the 22nd to prepare for heat waves and typhoons, conducting inspections of safety management conditions for natural disaster prevention.

The inspection sites on that day were △'Ikmok District D1 CityPradium Officetel' in Cheoncheon-dong, Jangan-gu, △'Hyosung Harrington Place Dong-Suwon' in Uman-dong, Paldal-gu, and △'Neighborhood Living Facility' on Paldal-ro 1-ga, totaling 3 locations.

Items checked included the safety of temporary structures, potential material falling and scattering, drainage facility maintenance conditions, availability of worker rest spaces and drinking water, and heat-related illness response systems.

Minor issues discovered at the sites were immediately corrected, and matters requiring additional improvements will be managed through separate maintenance plans.

'Ikmok District D1 CityPradium Officetel' is scheduled for completion in January next year and will feature an officetel with 480 units total and neighborhood living facilities. 'Hyosung Harrington Place Dong-Suwon' is targeting completion in March 2027 with 162 apartment units currently under construction.

Deputy Mayor Hyun Geun-taek stated, "As safety accidents from summer natural disasters such as heat waves, heavy rain, and typhoons continue to occur nationwide, thorough advance preparations for disaster prevention are necessary," and added, "We will establish measures to prepare for various disasters in work management to protect the lives and safety of workers."
