Suwon Special City-Suwon South Fire Station Sign 'Business Agreement for Rapid Forest Fire Response'

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-sung] Suwon Special City has strengthened its joint forest fire response system with Suwon South Fire Station (Fire Chief Park Jung-hoon) to respond more rapidly and efficiently when forest fires occur.

The city and Suwon South Fire Station signed a 'Business Agreement for Rapid Forest Fire Response' at the city hall situation room on the 23rd and promised cooperation.

The two organizations established a continuous collaboration system through this agreement and decided to enhance on-site response capabilities against increasingly frequent forest fires. They also agreed to strengthen the joint response system through △immediate situation information sharing when forest fires occur and maintenance of emergency contact networks, △rapid mobilization of personnel and equipment, and △joint drills.

Mayor Lee Jae-jun of Suwon and Fire Chief Park Jung-hoon of Suwon South Fire Station attended the agreement ceremony.

Fire Chief Park Jung-hoon of Suwon South Fire Station said, "I hope this agreement becomes an opportunity for heightened awareness regarding forest fires," and added, "We will do our best to ensure that citizens can live safely without suffering forest fire damage."

Mayor Lee Jae-jun said, "I appreciate the fire station for doing its best to extinguish fires rapidly whenever they occur," and noted, "Thanks to the fire station's swift response, forest fires have not spread extensively." He further stated, "Let's strengthen cooperation further to prevent forest fires and protect citizen safety together."
