Hwaseong City Hyohaeng District Health Center Begins AI-Based Child Growth Prediction…'How Tall Will My Child Be?'

[Suwon Ilbo=Cheon Ui-hyun Reporter] The Hyohaeng District Health Center of Hwaseong Special City announced on the 24th that it will implement an AI-based smart health management project for children targeting 650 children from 4 kindergartens in the district.

The project involves measuring height, weight, and body composition of children during their growth period, and the core objective is to analyze accumulated health big data using AI to predict expected height, weight, and growth status when the child becomes an adult. Based on the prediction results, health risk factors are identified and customized health management support is provided.

The health center will complete pre-physical measurements by kindergarten by the 31st, and plans to hold a parent briefing session next month to guide parents on the project direction and health management methods.

The measurement is not a one-time affair. The plan is to regularly manage health data to continuously monitor children's growth and weight changes, help children develop correct lifestyle habits from early childhood, and raise parental interest.

The health center plans to analyze project effectiveness and expand the target population and programs in phases.

A health center official stated, "This is a project that Hwaseong City is launching for the first time today," and added, "After observing parental response, we plan to hold a parent forum in September."
