Jangan-gu Implements Full Traffic Control on Yeonmu Bridge from 20th
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Jangan-gu, Suwon City will implement full traffic control on Yeonmu Bridge in Yeonmu-dong starting from the 20th for reconstruction work.
The reconstruction project is being carried out to prevent accidents caused by aging infrastructure and create a safe road environment, following the Yeonmu Bridge—completed in 1990—being designated as a Grade D disaster risk facility with inadequate safety in a detailed safety diagnosis. A total project budget of 1.15 billion won will be used to demolish the existing bridge and install a new one.
A district official stated, "The reconstruction work is expected to cause traffic inconvenience due to increased use of back roads and construction noise. Since this is necessary work for facility safety, we ask for citizens' understanding and cooperation."
