Gwangju City Conducts Integrity and Communication Day Across All Departments

[Suwon Ilbo=Eom In-yong Reporter] Gwangju City announced on the 7th that it has been operating an "Integrity and Communication Day Visiting All Departments" program since the 3rd to raise employees' awareness of integrity and create a flexible organizational culture.

This program is being conducted by the Audit Department, which will directly visit 69 departments including City Hall, business offices, and townships/neighborhoods, over a total of 12 sessions through the 11th of next month.

The program focuses on sharing major corruption reporting cases and informing about the status of integrity initiatives, while listening to difficulties and suggestions from each department and conducting organizational culture improvement campaigns to spread integrity consensus.

In particular, to emphasize the commitment to improving integrity within the organization since the start of the 9th popularly elected administration, Mayor Park Gwan-yeol personally attended on the 3rd and 7th, having a communication time with approximately 280 employees from 13 departments.

During this time, organizational culture improvement campaigns reflecting employees' opinions, such as improving dining-out culture and eliminating disrespectful conduct, were also carried out and received positive response from employees.

Mayor Park Gwan-yeol said, "I will be a direct mayor who actively communicates not only with citizens but also with public officials," and added, "I will lead by example as mayor going forward to create an organization with integrity and fairness."
