Job seekers flock to Yongin Job Fair's 'Semiconductor Industry Pavilion'

Yongin Special City (Mayor Lee Sang-il) held a Job Fair with a newly established 'Semiconductor Industry Pavilion' on the 14th at the 2nd floor plaza of Yongin Mir Stadium, with job seekers flocking to the event and demonstrating strong interest in the semiconductor industry.
The newly established 'Semiconductor Industry Pavilion' featured 11 semiconductor companies including Tves Co., Ltd., Juseong Engineering Co., Ltd., Surplus Global, Texson Co., Ltd., Roche Systems Co., Ltd., and Horiba Stec Korea Co., Ltd., conducting on-site interviews with job seekers.
The 'Semiconductor Industry Pavilion' drew job seekers of various ages from their 20s to their 40s and 50s, reflecting broad public interest in the semiconductor industry.
In particular, as Samsung Electronics' advanced system semiconductor cluster in Idong and Namsaeup, Yongin, and SK Hynix's general industrial complex in Wonsanmyeon, Yongin, are entering their full-scale development phase, semiconductor materials, parts, and equipment companies are successively establishing operations in Yongin.
Reflecting these characteristics, the city established the 'Semiconductor Industry Pavilion' at the Job Fair to strengthen employment connections between small, medium, and parts/equipment companies and job seekers, and to revitalize the local economy.
Mayor Lee Sang-il visited the fair and examined various booths, offering words of encouragement to job seekers participating in on-site interviews and expressing gratitude to company hiring officials for their efforts.
At the General Recruitment Pavilion, which featured 31 participating companies, on-site interviews were conducted by companies from various sectors including K&R; System Co., Ltd., an industrial robot manufacturer; Samwoo F&G; Co., Ltd., a Samsung Electronics product delivery and installation company; Iahn Global, a cosmetics manufacturer; and Brooks Instrument, an industrial machinery equipment company.
Auxiliary programs at the fair included semiconductor measurement and process experience, generative artificial intelligence (AI) experience, resume photo sessions, and interview makeup techniques, which drew strong popularity from job seekers. The city also operated various programs including career aptitude tests, fingerprint personality assessments, and identifying personal job strengths using temperament and character assessments (TCI), enhancing job seeker satisfaction.
Mayor Lee Sang-il stated, "Yongin has already attracted or confirmed investments from world-leading semiconductor equipment companies including Applied Materials, Lam Research, and Tokyo Electron," and added, "If the semiconductor project proceeds successfully, we expect employment opportunities to increase significantly."
