Anseong City Mobilizes All Efforts to Attract Materials, Parts, and Equipment Companies at Semiconductor Expo

Anseong City participated in the 'SEDEX 2026 (Semiconductor Expo)' being held at COEX through the 16th, launching a promotional campaign to attract companies to establish operations in the semiconductor materials, parts, and equipment (MPE) specialized complex and test bed.

The city operated a promotional pavilion within the semiconductor expo in collaboration with the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation's Anseong Business Division and the Anseong Industrial Promotion Agency, intensively introducing to participating companies the semiconductor MPE specialized complex development project being pursued centered on the Dongshin General Industrial Complex.

Additionally, the city publicized the functions of the assembly evaluation test bed being constructed at the Korea Polytechnics Semiconductor Convergence Campus and promoted the industrial development foundation linking corporate investment with technology demonstration.

The city also held an 'Anseong City Semiconductor Specialized Complex and Test Bed Investment and Demonstration Briefing,' providing guidance on corporate entry conditions, test bed utilization methods, and corporate support policies. Through this, the city strengthened its support system connecting from initial corporate investment consideration through technology demonstration to commercialization, and expanded contact points with potential investing companies.

In addition, on the 15th, the city signed a business agreement with the Korea Nano Technology Institute on technical cooperation for the semiconductor MPE specialized complex. The agreement was pursued to support the resolution of challenges faced by companies within the city, as well as to promote technological innovation and commercialization, and the city plans to expand cooperation with specialized research institutions and strengthen support measures that companies can directly benefit from.

Mayor Kim Bo-ra stated, "The competitiveness of the semiconductor industry is realized not solely through the capabilities of certain companies, but through an ecosystem where materials, parts, and equipment companies are closely connected with universities and research institutions. Anseong City will organically link its specialized complex, test bed, and corporate support policies to support companies' technological innovation and commercialization, and will continue to expand the foundation for excellent semiconductor companies to invest and grow."

SEDEX is an event organized by the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association, showcasing technologies and products from the entire semiconductor industry, where domestic and foreign semiconductor companies and related personnel participate to share technological trends and explore business collaboration opportunities.
