Gwangmyeong Hosts 'Relay Lecture Series' with Notable Speakers for Middle-Aged Residents

The Gwangmyeong Life Plus Center, which serves the new middle-aged generation under Mayor Park Seung-won, concluded its 'Relay Lecture Series' held over five sessions from June to October on the 10th.
The 'Relay Lecture Series' garnered strong response by addressing various topics closely related to middle-aged and older adults' lives, including etiquette, communication, and humanities and culture. Beyond simply conveying knowledge, the program was designed to allow participants to explore new perspectives and reflect on the direction of life in later years.
The final lecture of this year was held on the 10th, inviting feng shui scholar Choi Seung-ho to deliver a lecture on the theme 'When the Place You Live Changes, Your Life Changes Too! Understanding Life's Flow through Feng Shui.'
On that day, feng shui scholar Choi Seung-ho explained feng shui not as a difficult or vague theory, but from the perspective of the 'spaces' and 'lives' where we spend time daily. By introducing various cases of how space influences daily life, relationships, and the flow of life, he helped participants reconsider their living spaces and current lives from a new perspective.
Yoon Young-hee, Director of the Lifelong Learning Institute, said, "Through five relay lectures with notable speakers this year, middle-aged and older citizens have had the opportunity to experience learning on various topics and reflect on their lives. Going forward, we will continue to create diverse opportunities to add new perspectives and learning to citizens' lives."
The Gwangmyeong Life Plus Center plans to continue supporting the happy second act of life for new middle-aged citizens and their continuous learning and growth through various projects including life planning counseling, customized educational programs, and work and activity support.
