New Face Kim Gwang-deok Appointed as New Vice Mayor of Yeoju

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Eom In-yong] Yeoju City announced on the 3rd that it appointed Kim Gwang-deok, director of the Gyeonggi Province Transportation Bureau, as its new Vice Mayor effective January 5th, marking the new year of 2026.

The newly appointed Vice Mayor Kim is an administrative expert who has worked through key departments including Accounting Officer, Fair Special Judicial Police Commander, and Transportation Director at Gyeonggi Province Government.

Vice Mayor Kim is well-known as an official who has efficiently handled major pending issues during his tenure at Gyeonggi Province Government, including bus wage negotiations and strike response operations, improvement of the province's transportation information center operations and advancement of intelligent transportation systems, and implementation of the Gyeonggi Youth Opportunity Ladder Financing program.
