Dongbaek Middle School in Yongin Implements Person-Centered AI·Digital Education for Learning and Sharing

Dongbaek Middle School (Principal Lee Min-ja) operated an 'AI·Digital Creative Convergence Camp' for elementary and middle school students in the Yongin area on the 21st.
This camp holds significance as a practice of 'breaking barriers between schools and communities.' Dongbaek Middle School structured the activities so that students ask questions on their own, collaborate with friends, and grow as active learners.
This is meaningful in that it aligns with the direction of 'person-centered AI-era education,' which places collaboration at the center even in the process of learning technology.
As part of the Gyeonggi Province AI·Digital Competency Growth School Project, local students had the opportunity to directly experience AI·digital technology and implement their own ideas.
Students participating in the camp used micro:bit and sensors to detect changes in their surroundings and conducted activities that allowed devices to respond through coding. Subsequently, they worked in groups to conceptualize ideas and create projects, solving problems discovered during the operation process together and improving the final results.
Lee Min-ja, Principal of Dongbaek Middle School, said, "I hope that the experience of students directly creating works and solving problems together with friends will serve as a foundation for growth" and "We will continue to share the school's educational resources with the community and nurture the potential of each and every student through educational activities."
