For the 'Suwon Visit Year 2026-2027,' the city is seeking souvenirs and local delicacies that will leave lasting impressions on tourists visiting Suwon.

Suwon City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) is publicly recruiting special tourism souvenirs and representative local delicacies that capture the charm of Suwon's history, culture, and tourism resources. Under the theme of 'One Thing to Remember Suwon, One Bite to Taste Suwon,' the city will discover souvenirs and local delicacies that embody Suwon's history, culture, and tourism resources.

For the tourism souvenir category, the city is seeking products that express Suwon's tangible and intangible assets in contemporary ways while possessing practicality, marketability, and design. Products must be packaged for gift-giving and ready for immediate sale, with easy storage and transport.

The local delicacies category targets confections such as hangwa (traditional Korean sweets), yakwa (honey-fried pastries), sandwiches, cookies, and other light snacks inspired by Suwon's history, culture, and tourism resources. Products must be capable of room-temperature storage and individual packaging, and should be appropriately sized for single servings or convenient for gift-giving.

Individuals or organizations with business registration certificates can apply. Applicants should complete application forms and product descriptions and submit them by email (skagus2121@korea.kr) by the 23rd.

Applicants for tourism souvenirs must submit sample products at Suwon City Hall's Saebbit Citizen Service Center on October 28-29 after submitting their documents. For the local delicacies category, sample submissions are not required separately, but samples may be submitted on the day of the Tourism Souvenir Committee review if necessary for presentation.

Suwon City will conduct a preliminary review of submitted products and select tourism souvenirs following deliberation by the Suwon City Tourism Souvenir Committee. The selection results will be announced on the Suwon City website (www.suwon.go.kr) on November 18. Selection results for the local delicacies category will be notified individually.
