From Dog Sports Events to CPR Training…All Set for Yongin City Hall on the 17th

Yongin Special Status City (Mayor Lee Sang-il) will host a pet culture festival titled 'Happy with Yongin City' at the City Hall Sky Plaza on the 17th.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the 17th, featuring diverse programs including talk concerts, walking classes, and dog sports events. The goal is to raise awareness for establishing a proper pet culture.
The 'Joa Yong Sports Event' will offer participatory programs such as 'Come Here Challenge' and 'Wait Challenge,' where owners and dogs work in harmony to complete missions, as well as 'Agility Running (obstacle course)'.
Visitors can also create honorary citizen certificates featuring their pets' photos, and capture memories with their pets at photo zones.
At the 'One-on-One Health Consultation' booth, pet owners can consult with professional veterinarians about daily concerns regarding their dogs' health. At the behavior consultation booth and walking class, trainers offer guidance on correcting behavioral problems, walking techniques, and pet etiquette.
The pet CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) experience booth allows participants to learn basic emergency response procedures firsthand.
A talk concert featuring trainer Lee Woong-jong will include lectures on pet etiquette and establishing a responsible pet culture, as well as on-site Q&A; sessions regarding behavioral issues.
In particular, the city's animal protection center will operate an adoption booth at the event, launching a meaningful campaign to find new families for protected pets.
