Biodiversity Garden 'Yeunghung Eoulteul' Opens at Yeunghung Forest Park in Suwon

The 'Believe in Dream Park' garden, a corporate contribution project, has been established at Yeunghung Forest Park in Suwon as the third such garden following Seoul.
Suwon Special City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) held the opening ceremony for 'Yeunghung Eoulteul' at Yeunghung Forest Park on the 5th, with attendance from Mayor Lee Jae-jun of Suwon Special City, Matthias Busse, CEO of Porsche Korea, Jo Kyung-jin, Chairman of Seoul Green Trust, and Lee Deuk-hyun, Chairman of Suwon Green Trust.
Yeunghung Eoulteul was established as part of Porsche Korea's social contribution campaign 'Believe in Dream Park.' It is the third urban biodiversity garden, following the 1st and 2nd gardens in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
The Yeunghung Eoulteul project was launched when Suwon City and Seoul and Suwon Green Trust signed a memorandum of understanding in April. The garden name Eoulteul carries the meaning of 'a garden where plants and people live harmoniously together.'

Porsche Korea provided sponsorship funding, and Suwon City provided the garden site. Seoul Green Trust handled site surveying and garden design, while Suwon Green Trust is responsible for operating citizen participation programs and public relations.
Mayor Lee Jae-jun of Suwon Special City said, "I hope Yeunghung Eoulteul becomes a space where citizens experience nature in the city up close and understand the value of ecology."
