Hwaseong-type Basic Society Committee Launches to Ensure Fundamental Life for All

The "Hwaseong-type Basic Society Committee," which will serve as the central hub for promoting Hwaseong-type Basic Society policies, has officially launched.
Hwaseong Special City (Mayor Jung Myeong-keun) held the "Hwaseong-type Basic Society Committee Launch Ceremony and Forum" on the 12th in the main conference room of Hwaseong City Hall.
The committee is composed of a total of 30 members, including 7 ex-officio members and 23 appointed members, and will be responsible for providing consultation on overall basic society policies, discovering new policies, and discussing the development direction of major policies.
The significance of this launch lies in converting the "Hwaseong-type Basic Society Promotion Task Force," which was operated last year, into an official committee to strengthen the policy implementation system for continuously discovering, monitoring, and advancing Hwaseong-type basic society policies.

At the event, a policy forum sharing award-winning works from the basic society policy contest and major policies was held, along with the presentation of appointment certificates, a launch performance embodying the values and direction of Hwaseong-type Basic Society, and the delivery of members' messages of hope.
Going forward, the city plans to reflect the committee's expertise and field experience in policies through regular meetings and field-specific discussions, and will continue to discover Hwaseong-type basic society policies that citizens can tangibly experience.
Mayor Jung Myeong-keun of Hwaseong Special City stated, "The direction that Hwaseong-type Basic Society should move toward is to ensure that everyone receives a guaranteed basic livelihood, young people can pursue their dreams, children enjoy equal education and care without discrimination, and seniors can enjoy healthy and happy retirements. Taking this committee's launch as a new starting point for citizen happiness, we will faithfully incorporate citizens' voices and expertise from various fields into our policies."
