[Suwon Ilbo = Reporter Seo Dong-young] Youngtong District and Youngtong 2-dong will hold a 'Moonlight Music Walk with New Neighbors' concert on the 25th at the Circular Fountain Plaza of Shindong Waterside Park in Youngtong District to welcome citizens from Hwaseong City who have become Suwon citizens.

The welcome concert is an event prepared to welcome approximately 340 households incorporated into Shindong, Youngtong District through the boundary adjustment between Suwon and Hwaseong on the 24th.

It was planned to welcome the incorporated residents and create an opportunity for them to harmonize with nearby community residents. However, in case of rain, the event will be postponed to the 31st of this month.

Various classical performances have been arranged, starting with a mixed duet by Jang Yun-jeong and Kim Dong-chul from the Suwon City Chorus, a trombone ensemble featuring Park Hee-seok, concertmaster of the Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra, and the women's vocal ensemble 'Breeze'.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the event will be held on an outdoor stage based on the principle of non-contact and non-proximity. All attendees will be required to wear masks, undergo temperature checks, maintain distance between seats, and follow quarantine guidelines including the provision of hand sanitizers.

Even without assigned seating, anyone can stand and watch, and music appreciation is also possible while taking a walk through the waterside park within the Shindong district.
