National Volunteer Federation Delivers 5,000kg of Kimchi to Help Neighbors in Gwonseon District
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] The National Volunteer Federation donated 5,000kg of kimchi to Gwonseon District on the 9th.
The National Volunteer Federation, headquartered in Daegu, has been operating 13 branch offices and 26 free meal centers nationwide since 1992, conducting various volunteer activities. The organization developed ties with the district after establishing and operating the Angel Free Meal Center at Exit 1 of Seryuri Station in Suwon in 2016. As year-end approaches, the federation consistently provides generous donations of white rice and kimchi to the district.
The kimchi will be distributed to 12 administrative welfare centers in the district and divided among a total of 500 households, from children in difficult circumstances to elderly residents living alone, with each household receiving 10kg.
Lee Tae-yong, Gwonseon District Mayor, said, "I am very pleased and grateful that we can share warm hearts with our lonely and marginalized neighbors with such a generous gift again this year."
