Hwaseong Special City (Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun) introduces six parks in the Dongtan area that are perfect for autumn walks. Dongtan Yeoul Park, Dongtan Lake Park, Cheonggyechung Central Park, Daol Park Ondal Garden, Songbangcheon Park, and Yedat Park have already established a reputation as popular courses that residents flock to during the autumn season.

For an open landscape, Dongtan Yeoul Park and Dongtan Lake Park are unbeatable. The sulfur cosmos flower field at Dongtan Yeoul Park is ideal for appreciating yellow and orange flowers and capturing memories through photographs. At Dongtan Lake Park, the silver grass variety 'Bluebird,' water oat grass, and miscanthus sway in the breeze, adding to the autumn ambiance.

If you wish to enjoy flowers up close while resting, Cheonggyechung Central Park's Darangyi Rainwater Garden is perfect. The garden, featuring achillea, blue sage, and gaura, is equipped with swings where you can enjoy leisure while admiring the flowers. Using the nearby barefoot path on the back mountain allows for a walk where you can encounter both flowers and forest.

At Daol Park's Ondal Garden, zinnia, marigold, and chrysanthemum fill the autumn landscape. True to its name meaning "a courtyard with warmth," it is a living-space healing garden where you can stay comfortably close to everyday life.

At the flower bed of Songbangcheon Park's water play area, zinnias directly seeded by citizen gardeners are in full bloom, and the tiered Darangyi Garden is also filled with carefully planted flowers.

Yedat Park, where shrubs and herbaceous plants harmonize, began maintenance through the citizen gardener program this year. Through the consistent care of citizen gardeners, the park maintains a neat garden landscape.

Choi Jung-woo, head of the Eastern Park Management Division, said, "I hope citizens will feel the beauty of autumn up close in parks and gardens infused with the dedication of citizen gardeners and enjoy leisure in their daily lives. We will continue to create gardens where citizens can enjoy seasonal changes together with citizen gardeners and work diligently to manage the parks so that citizens can use them comfortably."
