The Korea Ceramic Foundation and Myeongwon Cultural Foundation have signed a memorandum of understanding to reexamine the value of traditional culture and promote development in both fields through exchange and cooperation between ceramic and tea culture.

In the agreement conducted on the 4th at the Myeongwon Cultural Foundation, the two organizations decided to jointly pursue ▲mutual cooperation and participation in festivals, events, and cultural projects organized by both institutions ▲joint and exchange projects for the development of ceramic and tea culture ▲projects for the preservation, succession, and popularization of traditional culture.

As its first collaborative project under the agreement, the Korea Ceramic Foundation will participate in the '2026 Myeongwon World Tea Expo' held at Magok COEX from December 3-6, organized by the Myeongwon Cultural Foundation, showcasing tea ceremony tools created by artists active in Gyeonggi Province and demonstrations of their production.

Ryu In-gwon, President and CEO of the Korea Ceramic Foundation, said, "Ceramic and tea culture are precious assets that share the identity and value of our traditional culture," and added, "Through this agreement, we will expand collaborative projects based on the expertise of both organizations and create a foundation for ceramic and tea culture to be more familiar and enjoyed in everyday life."

Korean tea culture and ceramic culture are fields that have developed through close mutual influence over a long history, and the culture of tea ceremony utensils and tea etiquette is a representative traditional cultural heritage that demonstrates the artistic and practical value of ceramic craftsmanship.
