Suwon Entrepreneurs' Day…Mayor Lee Jae-jun: "Will Build Advanced Science Research City"

The 'Suwon Entrepreneurs' Day' event was held on the 20th at the Suwon Convention Center. The event, hosted by Suwon City and organized by the Suwon Chamber of Commerce, was a gathering where business leaders came together to exchange and communicate.

At the event, Mayor Lee Jae-jun of Suwon Special City said in his welcoming remarks, "I believe that sustainable urban growth begins with innovation and business," and added, "Based on the achievements we have accomplished together with business leaders, I will establish an 'Advanced Science Research City.'"

The mayor further encouraged entrepreneurs, saying, "I will listen to voices from business sites and the opinions of entrepreneurs, and Suwon City will become a reliable partner for business."

The event featured special lectures from notable figures including Kim Chang-gyun, CEO of Glocal N&M; Co., Ltd., Cheon Ji-yun, Director of Wadiz Co., Ltd., Choi Dong-chul, CEO of Wadiz Impact Co., Ltd., and Park Jong-hun, Director of the Institute for Knowledge-Based Economy.

Following the lectures, Mayor Lee Jae-jun presented certificates and commemorative plaques to recipients of the '12th Suwon City Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneur Award.' The award recognizes outstanding small and medium-sized entrepreneurs who have contributed to regional economic development and enhanced Suwon City's competitive edge and status.

At the event, 95 exhibition, promotion, and consultation booths were operated, and as part of related activities, one-on-one business success strategy consultations were conducted with six Wadiz specialists, as well as one-on-one public procurement consultation meetings between public institution purchasing managers and female entrepreneurs.

The 'Entrepreneurs' Day Special Meeting' was attended by Mayor Lee Jae-jun of Suwon City, Choi Dong-chul, CEO of Wadiz Impact Co., Ltd., Kang Hyuk, CEO of Repair Korea Co., Ltd., and Kim Jae-ok, Chairman of the Suwon Chamber of Commerce, where they exchanged opinions on the realities of business management and support needed for business growth.
