At the main performance 'Suwon Fantasy-Night Owl' held on the special stage at Yeonmudae on the 11th, Mayor Lee took the stage and said, "This year's Suwon Hwaseong Culture Festival was a time to inherit the eight-day grand journey of King Jeongjo as a grand festival."
He continued, "King Jeongjo's royal procession proved the potential and capacity to stand tall as a 'K-Culture Road,' and the spectacular attractions including 'Suwon Hwaseong Media Art' captured the eyes and ears of tourists. I hope that our citizens will become steadfast partners in the journey to create a 'city of cultural tourism mutual prosperity.'"
The 63rd Suwon Hwaseong Culture Festival, which began on the 4th, concluded its grand journey with the 'Suwon Fantasy-Night Owl' performance on this day. This year's festival was held for eight days around Suwon Hwaseong under the theme of "New Light for the Benefit of Many." The theme signifies "new light that brings wide benefit to the people," carrying the hope that citizens and people around the world will share together King Jeongjo's spirit of compassion for the people.

This year, the festival space was expanded to utilize the entire interior of Suwon Hwaseong as the festival venue. At Haenggung Plaza, Hwaseong Haenggung Palace, Yeonmudae, Yongyeon, and the Traditional Culture Center, programs including 'Suwon Fantasy-Night Owl,' water performance 'Seon-yu Dream,' 'Time Travel_That Night Haenggung Evening Tales,' citizens' great architecture project 'Hwahong,' and the Suwon Sedan Race attracted visitors.
The joint reenactment of King Jeongjo's royal procession, preparing for a leap into the 'K-Culture Road,' took place throughout Suwon on October 4th and received enthusiastic cheers from citizens.
