Rain expands nationwide starting from central region...Snow forecast for high mountain areas in GangwonAutumn rain nationwide on first day of November...chilly transitional weather with morning low of 3°C"Wear multiple thin layers when going out"...need health management through warm water intake

On November 1st (Sunday), the country will be mostly cloudy with autumn rain falling in various locations starting from the central region. Morning lows are expected to drop to 3°C, bringing chilly transitional weather.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 31st, rain will begin in the central region on the morning of the 1st and expand to most areas nationwide including the southern region and Jeju Island in the afternoon. In high mountain areas of Gangwon above 1,200 meters elevation, snow is expected instead of rain in some areas.

Rain will mostly end at night in Seoul, Incheon, northern Gyeonggi Province, and central and northern Gangwon, but some other regions will experience rain continuing until the early morning of the 2nd. Particularly on Jeju Island, strong rain of around 20mm per hour and gusty winds are expected overnight, requiring attention to facility management and accident prevention.

Morning lows are forecast at 3-10°C, with daytime highs at 11-18°C. Morning lows by major region are: ▲Seoul 5°C ▲Incheon 6°C ▲Suwon 6°C ▲Chuncheon 3°C ▲Gangneung 9°C ▲Daejeon 6°C ▲Gwangju 7°C ▲Daegu 6°C ▲Busan 9°C ▲Jeju 14°C.

Fine dust concentration will be at 'moderate' levels in most areas nationwide, but the Daejeon, Sejong, North Chungcheong and Honam regions, and Jeju area will temporarily show 'poor' levels during daytime hours.

[Living Guide] Plummeting temperatures "wear multiple thin layers"...Beware of gusty winds in Jeju and southern regions

• Clothing : With morning lows dropping to 3°C and wind expected, the feel-like temperature will be even lower. Rather than wearing one thick coat, it is advisable to layer multiple thin clothes (layering) and bring a thin scarf or muffler to maintain body heat.

• Health Management : During transitional seasons when temperatures drop sharply after rain stops, immunity tends to weaken. Drink warm water frequently to keep respiratory mucous membranes moist, and pay attention to hygiene management such as washing hands and feet thoroughly after going out.

• Safety and Facility Management : Strong rain of around 20mm per hour and gusty winds are expected overnight mainly in Jeju and southern regions. Pay attention to inspection of outdoor facilities such as signboards and canopies, and ensure sufficient safety distance when commuting by car as roads will be slippery due to rain.
