Osan City (Mayor Cho Yong-ho), the host city for next year's Gyeonggi Provincial Sports Games, has launched full-scale promotional efforts by operating a booth for the next host city at the opening ceremony of the 20th Gyeonggi Provincial Disabled Living Sports Games in Gapyeong.

The promotional booth operated at the opening ceremony on the 28th was set up to introduce Osan as the next host city to athletes, event officials, and visitors, and to heighten interest and anticipation for the Gyeonggi Provincial Sports Games to be held in Osan.

The city created a promotional space utilizing the official games emblem and mascot "Kkaasani," and conducted various promotional activities including schedule announcements for four events to be held in Osan from 2027 to 2028 and distribution of Osan tourism brochures.

Along with promotional activities, Osan City also conducted benchmarking on overall games operations. The city closely examined key operational cases including opening ceremony and reception management, event-specific competition proceedings, venue conditions, parking and traffic management, and disabled accessibility facilities.

Meanwhile, Osan City is systematically pushing forward field-specific preparations including facility improvements and event-specific competition operation plans ahead of hosting four major competitions: the 2027 Gyeonggi Provincial Disabled Sports Games and the Gyeonggi Provincial Sports Games, and the 2028 Gyeonggi Provincial Disabled Living Sports Games and the Gyeonggi Provincial Living Sports Festival.

Osan Mayor Cho Yong-ho stated, "We will widely promote Osan as the next host city to Gyeonggi Province residents and continue to heighten interest and anticipation for the upcoming competitions to be held in Osan," and added, "We plan to carefully examine best practices from the field and faithfully reflect them in our games preparation so that both athletes and visitors can safely and conveniently enjoy the competitions."
