Pyeongtaek to Host 'Visiting Music Concerts' at 10 Kindergartens

The Pyeongtaek Office of Education (Director Kim Yun-ki) will operate 'Healing Music Concerts Visiting Kindergartens' targeting 10 public and private kindergartens within its jurisdiction from October through November, providing young children with artistic experiences where they can listen to sounds, feel rhythms, and naturally express their emotions and thoughts.
The visiting music concerts are structured to align with RAS education principles, allowing children to encounter music naturally as an art experience in daily life. Additionally, the program aims to create opportunities for educators and parents to enjoy music together, thereby expanding artistic experiences to kindergartens and homes.
Rather than merely viewing performances, the concerts engage participants in various ways including classical music appreciation, instrument introductions, singing children's songs and OST pieces together, and ensemble clapping, enabling children to become familiar with music and enjoy it directly.
The program will adjust the composition and participation methods of each concert by considering the different educational circumstances and characteristics of each kindergarten. Performance configurations will take into account children's ages, audience size, and available space, while also coordinating in advance regarding parents' participation wishes and requested songs to operate music concerts tailored to each kindergarten's unique characteristics.
Kim Yun-ki, Director of the Pyeongtaek Office of Education, stated, "For young children, music should not be a special experience but rather an art they encounter and enjoy naturally in their daily lives," adding, "We will continue to expand artistic experiences in everyday life so that young children can feel and express diverse emotions through music and cultivate their artistic sensitivity."
