Hwaseong Special City (Mayor Jung Myung-geun) announced that the Ministry of Defense will collect public opinions on the draft military airfield noise impact study results from October 26 through November 15.

Residents in areas related to Suwon Airfield and Osan Airfield within Hwaseong City can review the Ministry of Defense's draft study results and submit opinions, and Hwaseong City urged active participation from residents.

Once the Ministry of Defense's military airfield noise impact study results are finalized through the proper procedures, compensation will be paid based on the results.

Verification of the study results and submission of opinions can be done through the military noise-related website (kmnoise.samwooanc.com) of Samwoo ANC, the surveying agency. If there are any opinions regarding the draft study results, residents can submit them through the "Opinion Writing" menu.

The disclosed draft study results represent a stage before deliberation and resolution by the Central Noise Countermeasures Council. Once the study results are finalized and announced, residents in the designated noise countermeasure areas will be able to apply for military noise damage compensation according to relevant laws and regulations starting in 2027.

Shin Dong-ho, head of the Military Airport Response Division, stated, "Since these study results are closely related to future designation of noise countermeasure areas and military noise damage compensation, residents' interest and participation are important. We hope residents will check whether their residences fall within the noise countermeasure areas and actively submit their opinions."
