Suwon Uui Elementary School Hosts Festival… "A Week Without Backpacks"

Suwon Uui Elementary School has launched a special autumn festival created together by students, faculty, and parents.
Uui Elementary School (Principal Lee Ok-kyung) announced on the 19th that it will hold the '2026 Happy Dream Festival We Create Together, Uui Festival' for five days from the 19th through the 23rd.
This festival is themed around "Exciting, Unique, and Interesting," designed to allow students to explore their dreams and talents through various experiences, moving beyond traditional classroom instruction.
During the event period, the school is operating "A Week Without Backpacks" and conducting diverse programs including grade-level sports competitions, cultural arts experience presentations, after-school and childcare exhibitions, an AI experience festival, and reading events.

The Uui Elementary School Parent Association (President Shin Sang-hee) is also actively participating in the festival. Parents distribute snacks and beverages aligned with grade-level sports competitions and support "Life Photo" booth experiences where friends can capture memories together.
Particularly noteworthy is that parents voluntarily participate in volunteer work to support students' experiential activities, adding meaning to the festival as an event created jointly by the school and parents, transcending a simple in-school event.
President Shin Sang-hee said, "I am delighted to contribute, even in a small way, to helping children laugh joyfully at school and create happy memories. Going forward, we will actively participate in school educational activities and support children's happy school lives."
Principal Lee Ok-kyung stated, "I hope this will be a meaningful time for students to discover their talents through various experiences and build precious memories with friends. I am grateful to the parent association for sharing their time and care for our students."
