'Learning at Twenty'…20th Suwon Lifelong Learning Festival Held on October 31st

The 20th Suwon Lifelong Learning Festival will meet citizens with diverse programs under the theme "Learning at Twenty, Meeting the Future Together" starting at 10 a.m. on October 31st at the Suwon Lifelong Learning Center.

The 20th Anniversary Special Exhibition will introduce the record of the Suwon Lifelong Learning Festival over 20 sessions and learning stories from 10 major institutions, allowing visitors to view at a glance the footprints of 20 years.

The civic participation project 'Finding 20 Years of Learning' allows citizens to write messages about their learning experiences and expectations for the future, attach them to a message wall to share with others.

'Finding Learning at Twenty' is an event where participants who visit major festival venues and participate in Saebitsak satisfaction surveys receive commemorative gifts upon collecting stamps.

Official proceedings will take place on an outdoor stage at 2 p.m., including commendations for lifelong education promotion contributors, awards for adult literacy event competitions, 20th anniversary commemorative video screening, and a 20th anniversary virtual reality (VR) drawing (metaverse art) performance.

Lifelong learning institutions and organizations, learning circles, and community groups will operate 35 experiential booths in the Suwon Lifelong Learning Center parking lot, while learning circles and lifelong learning institution performance teams will hold busking on the outdoor stage.

The 'Adult Literacy Event' featuring adult literacy learners performing in three-line poetry competitions, essay writing, and poetry recitation will be held in the Suwon Lifelong Learning Center grand hall starting at 10 a.m.

A Suwon City official stated, "The 20th Lifelong Learning Festival will be a meaningful time to reflect on the past 20 years spent with citizens and discover new possibilities in learning. We will continue to ensure that all citizens enjoy learning opportunities in their daily lives and that learning leads to personal growth."
