Gyeonggi Province and Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH) will supply 240 units of equity accumulation type sales housing at Gwanggyo, Suwon for the first time in the nation, where buyers bear only a portion of the sales price upfront.

The project is located at Gwanggyo A17 Block, 633 Woncheon-dong, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, and will include 240 units of equity accumulation type sales housing with a dedicated area of 59㎡ and 360 units of general sales housing with a dedicated area of 84㎡, totaling 600 units. The pre-sale application period is from November 9 to 11.

Gyeonggi Province's "equity accumulation type sales housing" is a public sales method where buyers first acquire a housing share by paying only a portion of the sales price, and then acquire the remaining shares in phases over a long period. This is designed to reduce the burden on actual homebuyers, such as young adults and newly married couples who lack significant upfront capital.

At Gwanggyo A17 Block, buyers can move in after acquiring 25% of the initial sales price in equity shares, with the remaining 75% acquired gradually over 20 years. In addition to the initial share acquisition cost, buyers must pay rental fees for using the shares held by the public sector.

Equity accumulation type sales housing carries a five-year mandatory occupancy requirement and a 10-year resale restriction.

Notably, this supply marks the first application of special allocations for young adults and newborn households, newly established through Gyeonggi Province's recommendations for system improvements. Special allocation of 15% for young adults and 20% for newborn households have been newly implemented, and the overall special allocation ratio has been expanded from the existing 50% to 70%.

Gyeonggi Province plans to expand equity accumulation type sales housing to include the Third New Cities and other areas.
