[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] The Suwon Lifelong Learning Center is recruiting students for its winter semester (January-February) programs.

The programs include ▲open lectures ▲issue forums ▲YouTube Study Club ▲citizens' humanities school ▲collaborative study groups ▲special lectures for study groups ▲better daily life ▲anything goes school ▲slow life ▲turtle craft workshop and more.

The open lectures will feature a presentation by Kim Da-young, CEO of Hitchhiker, on "Smart Overseas Travel Techniques for 2020" (February 5) and a lecture by author Song Chang-hyun on "Working Professionals in Growth" (February 19).

From January 14 to February 11 next year, the Citizens' Humanities School will be held every Tuesday, exploring the lives of painters within famous paintings. Lecturer Baek Dong-hyun, author of "Painters Who Read the World: A Conversation," will conduct the lectures.

"Better Daily Life" will be held through "Yun Kyung-sook's Calligraphy," which teaches basic fonts and seal-carving techniques, and lectures on classical guitar and folk guitar playing techniques.

Additional programs include ▲"Home Cooking Exploration," where participants make jangajji (pickled vegetables) using seasonal winter ingredients like burdock and sea mustard ▲"YouTube Study Club" (YouTube+You Too+Study), where citizens watch YouTube videos and develop learning plans while discussing together ▲"Wood Carving Life," where participants feel nature in the forest while carving wood.
