Election Victory Statement Shin Gye-yong, Gwacheon Mayor Elect

Dear citizens of Gwacheon!

I am Shin Gye-yong, the elected mayor of Gwacheon in the 9th Local Elections.

I express my gratitude to all citizens of Gwacheon who came together to give me the opportunity to work for Gwacheon.

I will surely fulfill the aspirations of you citizens to complete what it truly means to be Gwacheon.

The People Power Party recently fell short of public expectations and caused disappointment, so I approached this election with a heavy sense of responsibility and deep reflection.

Therefore, this election carried a particularly different sense of responsibility and mission for me.

Nevertheless, you citizens of Gwacheon expected strong responses to the various challenges and key issues facing our city, and you rallied your support behind me, Shin Gye-yong.

I will use the strength you citizens have gathered as the driving force for city administration, working to complete what Gwacheon truly is and prepare for the next generation.

I will proactively identify and respond to all factors hindering Gwacheon's development and stability, including the relocation of the horse racing park that damages our community, the change of use for the Shincheonji building, and educational structural issues including data centers.

Out of gratitude for your support and trust, I will do my utmost to keep the promises I have made to you citizens.

I once again extend my sincere thanks to all citizens of Gwacheon.

I also express my gratitude to all the other candidates and campaign workers who participated in this local election.

Thank you.
