The Suwon Office of Education (Director Kim Hye-ri) operated RAS competency enhancement training 'Late Night Live Salon' on the 22nd for secondary teachers in the Haenggung-dong area of Suwon, a trendy hotspot brimming with culture and romance.

The training was organized with the aim of enhancing teachers' understanding of RAS education and strengthening their capacity to practice arts and culture education. The goal is to substantively connect cultural and arts resources flourishing in the local community with school education.

The training proceeded with programs utilizing diverse senses and movements while leveraging the characteristics of spaces such as gallery cafes, libraries, and outdoor lawns, drawing the attention of participating teachers.

The main programs included ▲A one-person play "About Yo-yos" connecting storytelling, performance, and physical movement ▲Reading meditation "A Moment Dwelling in Sentences" utilizing sentences from books and singing bowls ▲"The Boy Who Loved Music" sharing music and personal memories ▲"Between Leaning and Supporting" experiencing physical movement and interaction.

Teachers directly experienced diverse arts and culture activities utilizing various senses, thereby understanding the meaning of RAS education and gaining the ability to apply it to school curricula and student educational activities.

Taking this training as an opportunity, the Suwon Office of Education decided to expand educational connections between schools and communities through "breaking barriers," and to strengthen the foundation for cultural and arts spaces and artists in the region to participate in school education.

Kim Hye-ri, Director of the Suwon Office of Education, stated, "Through breaking barriers, we will remove the boundaries between schools and communities, and actively support the practice and promotion of RAS education at school sites so that the region's diverse cultural and arts resources can lead to student learning."
