Mayor Lee Sang-il of Yongin Special City visited the site of the "2026 Free Vehicle Inspection for People with Disabilities" event held on the 6th at the auxiliary stadium parking lot of Mir Stadium in Samga-dong and encouraged members of the Gyeonggi Province Professional Automotive Maintenance Business Association Yongin Branch (hereinafter Yongin Branch).

The event was held ahead of Chuseok and organized by the Gyeonggi Province Professional Automotive Maintenance Business Association Yongin Branch (hereinafter Yongin Branch) to assist people with disabilities who drive in safe returning home and vehicle operation. A total budget of 10 million won was allocated for the event, including 5 million won in provincial budget and 5 million won in city budget, for free replacement of consumables.

"Despite the hot weather and the fact that it is a day off, I am grateful to the association members who volunteered their time ahead of Chuseok so that citizens can operate their vehicles more safely and comfortably," said Mayor Lee.

Approximately 80 members of the Yongin Branch and students from the automotive machinery department at Yongin University of Science and Technology participated in the event.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., they inspected battery, steering, and braking conditions, replaced consumables including light bulbs, wipers, and air filters, and provided detailed explanations of inspection results to vehicle owners.
