Hwaseong Special City Wins '2026 Korea SNS Awards' Excellence Prize in Public Sector with Empathetic Content

Hwaseong Special City (Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun) won the Excellence Prize in the basic local government division of the public sector at the '16th 2026 Korea SNS Awards' held on the 26th, receiving recognition for empathetic content and distinctive posting strategies.

The 'Korea SNS Awards,' hosted by the Korea Social Content Promotion Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT, has been comprehensively evaluating and presenting awards for the social media utilization capabilities of enterprises and public institutions since 2011.

Hwaseong Special City's official SNS channels have transcended simple municipal promotion, creating empathetic content that incorporates diverse voices of citizens and drawing public attention through distinctive postings that highlight Hwaseong's unique charm.

Particularly, the city received recognition for presenting municipal information in an easy and engaging manner through trend-reflecting sensory planning such as reels and card news.

Hwaseong Special City's Instagram follower count ranks among the highest among basic local governments nationwide, demonstrating consistent growth and high civic engagement rates.

This award marks the fourth Excellence Prize in the same division, following 2020, 2023, and 2025, once again proving Hwaseong Special City's unwavering communication competitiveness.
